to Nominet 1 June 2000 Dear Ms Bradley INTERNET DOMAIN NAME: leicestercitycouncilco.uk While the Council notes the extensive disclaimers and hyperlinks included on the website in question, these do not after the fact that the domain name used is in itself misleading to users of the internet. It therefore considers that the registration of this name should be withdraw. As it appears from the site in question that the operator has already registered "leicestersotherwebsite.co.uk" as a domain name, re-establishing the site at that address should not present any great problem. That address would also more accurately describe the content of the site. |
